Reflection from Meadowcreek

The Meadowcreek Team for GVC1318!

The Meadowcreek Team for GVC1318!

The small group of students, ranging in age, gender, and ethnicity, had an amazing time working on this project; being able to see how others in other countries work on Web Design was inspiring. Learning how to work together as one was difficult, but in the end it was worth the effort.

My experience while participating in GVC has been really wonderful .I felt that I have learned many things through this event. During my time in the GVC team, I have learned a lot of important values like responsibility, hard work, perseverance and many more. During the GVC period, I learned to tolerate and collaborate with my teammates well and give in at times when we have different point of views. During difficult times, we helped each other lot and guided us. I definitely gained a lot of knowledge by joining GVC 2014. I would like to join GVC again next year. - Oscar Cruz

Wow, I cannot believe that our time working on this project has come to a close. It's been a long and enduring process, but I'm glad I did it. It has taught me that not everyone operates the same way as we do in the United States, and that we must be able to compromise in order to get the job done. Plus, while researching for our website's information, I learned so much about our environment! Our planet is beautiful, and we must do all we can to protect it. I'm happy that GVC has helped me see the world around me. - Amara Anderson

Meadowcreek's Advisor, Pintu Thaker

A Word from Our Advisor, Mrs. Pintu Thaker

Hello, my name is Pintu Thaker and I teach Web Design at Meadowcreek High School in Norcross Georgia, USA. It was very nice working with all of you. Students have enjoyed this global project and developed many skills, such as collaboration not only within the classroom but they collaborated globally with other countries, new web development skills (CSS, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, XHTML, JavaScript, etc.), and they have foster cultural understandings. I am looking forward to work with this project in the future and help students to develop many 21st century skills and cultural understandings.
